Summit ElderCare® launches new, user-friendly Web site

Worcester, Mass., July 7, 2010―Summit ElderCare®, a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), has recently launched a new, more usable Web site that offers up-to-date information on the program’s medical, insurance and social support services.

The Web site, www.summiteldercare.org, offers caregivers and referral sources detailed information about Summit ElderCare’s services, costs and eligibility requirements as well as provider biographies, testimonials from participants and their caregivers, and photos of each of the four Summit ElderCare PACE centers. The site was developed based on feedback from users and incorporates Web site best practices.

One of the many resources provided is a downloadable Summit ElderCare Value Comparison Worksheet, which helps compare current out of pocket costs to estimated out of pocket costs if one were to enroll in Summit ElderCare.

“As an alternative to nursing home placement, Summit ElderCare is truly a unique program that provides personalized health care and caregiver support focused on the unique needs of older adults,” said Karen J. Longo, Executive Director, Summit ElderCare. “With the launch of our new Web site, we are able to offer helpful online resources and information to assist caregivers in making the best long-term care decision for their loved ones.”

Summit ElderCare is sponsored by Fallon Community Health Plan, and is one of six PACE programs in Massachusetts and one of approximately 73 programs nationwide. Summit ElderCare has facilities throughout Central Massachusetts in Charlton, Leominster and two sites in Worcester.
