Worcester, Mass., February 20, 2008—Summit ElderCare, a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) sponsored by Fallon Community Health Plan, today announced the appointment of Kathy V. Pulda, A.P.R.N., A.N.P. as Nurse Practitioner for its Leominster facility.
In this position, Pulda will work in collaboration with other members of the Summit ElderCare interdisciplinary team to provide primary care and other geriatric support services for program participants.
Pulda has over 30 years of experience providing clinical care to patients throughout Central Massachusetts. She has served as guardianship nurse and director of the homemaker program for Jewish Family Services, and worked for many years as a nursing supervisor in long-term care. She has also worked as a nurse practitioner in geriatric psychiatry and has taught community education in issues related to care of the elderly. Additionally, Pulda has held the positions as staff nurse and unit manager at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Pulda earned an associate’s degree in nursing from Bucks County Community College in Newtown, Pennsylvania, a bachelor’s degree in human development from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Nursing.
A resident of Worcester, Mass., Pulda is a board member of Jewish Family Service of Worcester, Inc.
