Summit ElderCare appoints Leominster resident Melvina M. Hutchins as Site Director

Summit ElderCare, a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), announces the appointment of Melvina M. Hutchins, A.P.R.N., C.N.A., B.C., as the Site Director of a new Summit ElderCare site, which is currently under construction in Leominster and due to open this summer. In this position, Hutchins will oversee the daily operations at this site, while interacting with staff and caregivers to ensure the best possible care for the participants
Hutchins has 32 years of experience as a nursing professional, including inpatient and outpatient treatment, and has served as a member of the adjunct faculty in the Nursing Department at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, MA. She comes to Summit ElderCare from Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, where she most recently served as a clinical nurse specialist.
A longtime resident of Leominster, Hutchins graduated from the Leominster Hospital School of Nursing in 1974, from the nursing program at Fitchburg State College in 1984, and obtained her master’s degree in psychiatric/mental health nursing from Boston College in 1988.
Summit ElderCare is sponsored by Fallon Community Health Plan, and is one of six PACE programs in Massachusetts and more than 40 programs nationwide.
